Privacy-enhancing technologies are becoming essential as Web3, AI, and financial applications increasingly rely on secure, trust-minimized computation. Multiparty Computation (MPC) has long been recognized as a powerful cryptographic primitive, yet its complexity and inefficiencies have prevented widespread adoption. Traditional implementations require deep expertise in cryptography, limiting their accessibility to developers.

Stoffel Labs is set to change this by introducing the first developer-friendly MPC framework, making private computation seamless and scalable.

Stoffel Labs aims to enable developers to build trust-minimized applications that preserve data confidentiality without requiring deep cryptographic expertise.

At the heart of this vision is a world-class team of cryptography innovators. Stoffel Labs was spun out of HashCloak, a blockchain privacy R&D company, to independently focus on bringing MPC from academic research to real-world applications. Led by Mikerah Quintyne-Collins, a pioneer in blockchain privacy, Stoffel Labs is driven by a mission to make secure computation a standard across DeFi, Web3, and AI-driven applications.

We’re excited to announce that we co-led Stoffel Labs’ $1.6M pre-seed round alongside Robot Ventures. Other notable investors include leading cryptographers and Web3 pioneers such as Andrew Miller, John Adler, and Nicola Greco.

This funding will accelerate Stoffel Labs’ ambitious roadmap, enabling them to expand their developer stack, optimize their MPC virtual machine, and drive adoption across key industries. Our investment is not just about backing an innovative startup; it’s about shaping the future of privacy-first computation in Web3 and beyond.

Stoffel Labs is introducing a full-stack solution for MPC, designed to abstract complexity and make privacy-first programming intuitive. Their ecosystem includes:

• Stoffel Lang — A Python-styled domain-specific language (DSL) that simplifies privacy-first programming, making it as easy as writing Python.
• Stoffel Compiler — Translates high-level logic into cryptographic circuits for secure execution.
• Stoffel VM (in development) — A purpose-built virtual machine optimized for MPC applications, bridging the gap between traditional programming and secure multiparty computation.

MPC is a fundamentally different paradigm from traditional computing, and Stoffel Labs is building the tools to make this shift seamless.

Unlike Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs) and Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE), which focus on proving computation, MPC enables multiple parties to compute on shared data without revealing their individual inputs. This opens new frontiers in:

• Private DeFi — Confidential transactions, trust-minimized order matching, and on-chain privacy enhancements.
• Collaborative AI — Enabling multiple stakeholders to train AI models without exposing proprietary data.
• Confidential Governance & Auctions — Sealed-bid auctions, on-chain voting, and decentralized decision-making with full privacy guarantees.

Mikerah Quintyne-Collins, Founder of Stoffel Labs, has been at the forefront of blockchain privacy and cryptographic research. As a spinout of HashCloak — a Toronto-based cryptography R&D company — Stoffel Labs benefits from years of cutting-edge research and practical experience in advancing privacy-preserving technologies. Mikerah’s extensive background, including contributions to Ethereum’s scalability research and a Vitalik YOLO grant award winner, underscores the team’s deep expertise in cryptography and blockchain security.
